This book follows Galen's mental health curriculum exactly. It is extremely helpful and useful. I normally never buy the books for class because the lectures and PowerPoints provided by the teachers were enough, but several students recommend to get the book. I now highly recommend it as well. The chapters are short and really easy to follow and the tables are extremely helpful for the exams.
The kindle version hasn't been formatted, making it essentially impossible to read. There are no page numbers, no working links, pictures go over words, charts are unreadable etc etc. Not sure how or why the publisher even offers a kindle version.
Just received this book today and I have to say for a “new book†I’m disappointed in the quality of the book. Some pages were wrinkled, some were sliced, and some had stains on them. Not what I expected and thank god I ordered for class ahead of time as I now have to return this book and buy it from someone else
Bought this for my daughter's school. Since it's a new edition, the book came it wrapped and it was awesome that the book had extra cushioning in the box so that it doesn't damage the book.
I had to get this book for my Psych class in nursing school. The book is well laid out and is a pretty good read, not dry or boring and completely relative to my class. I recommend!
I've only read about 7 chapters but I can say that this textbook is well written, informative and explains things easily. I am a nursing student who rented this book and I'm seriously considering buying this textbook. I really am enjoying learning about the pharmacology, pathophysiology and nursing interventions.
Well written, easy to read. Covers what you need to know for RN school. Vignettes are good and help you remember the disorders
Product came in perfect condition and everything was as described. There is no actual code, there is a link on the inside of the front page to access the digital content. I personally thought there would be a code based off of what some classmates described.
