All of these magnificent stories are definitely five star masterpieces, but this is outstanding. I am definitely awaiting the next exciting adventure of Ellie and her crew. The author, Mr. Jack Hardin, does any outstanding job in his selection of characters, and the storylines are successfully entertaining episodes from beginning to end. Never a dull moment throughout the entire stories of Ellie and her associates. If you are not totally satisfied with Ellie's current situation just keep reading and she assuredly will fill you expectations before you have time to complain. I have had the opportunity to read many spy novels, but each and every one of these adventurous from have certainly been entertaining. There is an all time high of never ending suspenseful episodes to appease the most demanding reader's undivided attention I, without hesitation, recommend story, as well as all previous versions of the Ellie O'Conner series to all walks of life readers. I can assure all of you lovers of exceptionally well defined espionage escapades will definitely find the stories definitely impressive. Too, there are several heartwarming adventures throughout the entire story! Try these stories, please, as I am sure, regardless of your preference of stories, you will most definitely be satisfied!
I enjoyed the 4th book in the series, but it had been a while since I had read the first three. This caused me to struggle to figure out who all the characters were, when they showed up and were alternately called by their first name, their last name, a nickname or a pseudonym for the villains. I think I mostly figured it out by context, but it slowed down the comprehension of the elaborate plot. In the end, it was worth the effort, but a list of major characters would have made it easier to keep up. I will continue with the series and await the next adventure (maybe with a list of characters?).
While I look forward to reading book 5, the fourth book at least wrapped up most of the events. The other books left a little too much hanging. They were good, but there was not really enough of a grand finale. Too much was left relying on the next book in the series. While one review did not like the lack of putting characters in context due to a delay in his/her reading the books in order, it was refreshing to me as I did not waste time reading descriptions of characters that were just in the previous book. I can see how it would have been a bit more of a struggle with the delayed reading. My only real complaint was with the proofreading. It may have only been in the Kindle format, but there was an abundance of typos throughout the book. We know that mistakes happen, just an unusually large number of them in this book. It was still a great read.
I really was hoping this wouldn't be the final book in the series but, alas, it is. The ending left me feeling satisfied. Jack does a wonderful job of bringing quaint Pine Island to life. If I had one negative with this final book it was my confusion at so many characters that needed to have closure. I actually forgot who some of them were. Looking forward to reading the upcoming books about Frank & Brian.
The story line is good,but why didn't someone proofread all 4 books!!!!!!!!! So annoying running into so many grammatical and typo errors. Some were so bad,you had to try to fill in the lines to know what they were saying. Made the whole story choppy not flow. I co see one book,but all 4 were the same.
The good guys win out over the bad guys, and that's the important part. A little too much reality about the drug trade for me, but it is well written, exciting, and edgy. Over all I liked this book bit I will wait a while to read the next one.
I wasn’t sure if Jack could pull it off, but he did. He tied up all the major story-lines and left an opening for future books. It was a nice closure to the series. My house was a mess for two days because I couldn’t put it down. I’m happy with the ending. It makes sense. Yet wasn’t predictable. Great job Jack. (Who oddly enough looks like Joe Blake on Man in High Castle....)
Man that book had more twists than a snake. I was always surprised at the new angle . It was really great I can’t wait for the next . You sure know how to write and keep a person on the edge of their seat. Thanks for keep me reading.
